How’s about we offer Santa a special festive cookie to dunk in his milk this Christmas Eve?

Or, if you don’t believe in Santa (didn’t your parents teach you anything?!), how’s about a festive cookie to send you and your loved ones crimbo crazy?  Well, your wish is my command.  Enter the cranberry and white chocolate chip cookie.  Soft, moreish and oh so Christmassy.

I’ve used dried cranberries for these cookies but you...

Calling all gingerbread fans!  If you want a deliciously baked merry crimbo idea, then this merry ‘combo’ recipe will knock your festive socks off.

I say combo because it’s a beautiful combination of biscuit and bauble.  Who knew a biscuit could serve such purpose?  They look fabulous on my Christmas tree and better still, I’ll get to eventually scoff them!

Picture this: it’s a chilly December night, you’re sprawled o...

Autumn is officially here and as always, right on schedule, I’ve gone and caught a terrible case of the baking bug, particularly on a Tuesday night, 8pm to be precise.  Such is the influence of the Great British Bake Off- by the time an episode finishes I’m mentally brain storming my own version of the signature bake.  By the end of the working week, I’ve baked and photographed it- call it an annual ritual if you will.  Or a m...

I didn’t take it too well when I discovered receipts left lying around by my other half, showing he was popping into the local supermarket, buying millionaires shortbread bars with his meal deals for his lunch break.  How dare he eat alien baked goods?! The cheek of it!  After picking up my bruised, culinary ego, I informed him I’d be making them for him and that they would be better than shop bought.  So there.

You’l...

Aren’t they just adorable?  Look at those iddy biddy almondy balls!  My Mr demands these on the regular and as they are SO easy to make, I happily oblige!

These cuties are great with coffee or just pop one (or several) in your mouth for a quick pick-me-up.  I make 50 odd every time I bake them and Paul gobbles them up within a few days!  I think it’s fair to say the boy likes his almonds; he’s even got my three year...

Nothing beats a soft, chewy, melt in the mouth cookie.  Well after much trial and error, research and experimenting I think I’ve gone and nailed it.  I avoid making these to be honest, as I can’t stop at just one.  That’s how I KNOW they’re good.  As a self taught baker, I’ve managed to self-discipline over the years to simply try what I bake rather than eat it single- handedly.  These however... dangerous territory!...

I certainly hope those taste buds are set for a roller coaster ride!  We’re on another biscuit adventure and this time tradition meets the tropics.  These divine spheres of crunchiness are a result of a white chocolate and passion fruit cheesecake recipe idea.  I wanted a ginger nut biscuit base and thought to make my own biscuits for extra authenticity, plus I’d never baked Ginger nuts and it was about time I did!Th...

Spring is officially upon us (please let this snow stop its bloody March!). What better way to celebrate Spring than with some gorgeous lavender and lime shortbread?  Lavender and lemon is the usual flavour pairing you may see in recipes, so in order to be original and adventurous, we’re going with lime, lemon’s exotic cousin.

Lavender tends to be the marmite of the edible flower world.  You either love it or hate it.  Eve...
